APPLICATION CHECK

Built for the correct system—not every system

Common compatible work

  • Compatible residential and commercial air-conditioning systems
  • Heat-pump equipment labeled for R407C
  • Approved medium-temperature refrigeration
  • Engineered R22 retrofit projects with required component and lubricant changes

Confirm before ordering

  • The system is factory-approved for R407C or has a documented retrofit plan
  • The selected lubricant is compatible and oil-return requirements are satisfied
  • Controls and the expansion device are correctly set for the blend glide
  • Pressure-temperature calculations use the correct dew and bubble values
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE NOTES

Plan the charge before opening the valve

Charge in liquid phase

Remove liquid from the cylinder to preserve blend composition and use a throttling device when required.

Account for glide

Use the correct dew-point or bubble-point value for superheat and subcooling calculations.

Convert completely

For retrofits, recover the existing charge and complete every required oil, seal, label and control change before commissioning.

Compatibility is mandatory

R407C is not a direct top-off for R22 or any other refrigerant. Never mix it into an existing R22 charge. A retrofit requires documented equipment suitability, full refrigerant recovery and verification of lubricant, metering and control compatibility.
