R407A is an HFC blend used in compatible low- and medium-temperature commercial refrigeration. Its application range includes supermarket and food-storage equipment, as well as properly engineered conversions from certain higher-GWP legacy refrigerants.
Clear identification matters. Compare these details with the equipment nameplate, service documentation and cylinder label before connecting service tools.

Verify superheat, subcooling, discharge temperature and control operation under the expected load.
Record the refrigerant, charge quantity, lubricant and conversion date for the next technician.
Do not mix R407A with R404A, R507, R22 or any other refrigerant. A change of refrigerant requires an approved retrofit plan and may require oil, seal, metering-device and control adjustments.
Bulk refrigerant sales in the United States are restricted. Proof of the applicable Section 608 or Section 609 technician certification—or documentation that the purchaser employs a properly certified technician—may be required before fulfillment. The purchaser is responsible for satisfying federal, state and local rules for purchase, transport, storage and use.
Store upright and secured in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Protect the cylinder and valve from physical damage, high heat and sunlight. Review the safety data sheet before use. Refrigerant can displace oxygen, cause cold burns and create dangerous pressure if mishandled. Never intentionally vent refrigerant.
