APPLICATION CHECK

Built for the correct system—not every system

Common compatible work

  • Repair of existing systems whose data plate specifies R22
  • Legacy residential and light-commercial comfort cooling
  • Compatible older refrigeration equipment
  • Recovery, charging and maintenance performed under applicable rules

Confirm before ordering

  • The system still contains R22 and has not previously been converted
  • The purchase and service meet current federal, state and local requirements
  • The leak source has been found and repaired before charging
  • The system condition makes continued service practical compared with replacement or an approved retrofit
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE NOTES

Plan the charge before opening the valve

Identify before connecting

Use refrigerant identification when system history is uncertain. Mixed or contaminated refrigerant requires proper recovery and disposition.

Never vent

Recover refrigerant with approved equipment and follow all recordkeeping, handling and disposal requirements.

Evaluate the whole system

Confirm oil condition, compressor health, metering device operation and leak integrity before adding charge.

Compatibility is mandatory

Use only in existing equipment labeled for R22. Do not mix with retrofit blends or use in R410A, R407C, R32, R454B or other systems. R22 production and import for new supply have been phased out in the United States, so service decisions should account for long-term availability and system age.
