PROFESSIONAL SERVICE NOTES

Plan the charge before opening the valve

Identify the refrigerant

Use dedicated fittings and identification equipment when service history is uncertain.

Recover—do not vent

Capture the existing charge with approved recovery equipment before opening or repairing the system.

Charge to specification

Use the vehicle or equipment charge weight and verify final performance under the prescribed test conditions.

Compatibility is mandatory

R134A is not interchangeable with R1234yf, R152A, R12 or other refrigerants. Never mix refrigerants or use adapters to defeat unique service fittings. Use only where the system label and service documentation call for R134A.
